From Silence to Spotlight: Empowering Gay Fathers and Families

Updated: Jan 20

P.R.O.U.D. Inc. was born from a simple but powerful truth: when fathers heal, families thrive. Founded by award-winning author, life coach, and advocate Tyson Pete, P.R.O.U.D. Inc. stands as both a lifeline and a launchpad, a place where love, healing, and visibility meet purpose.

For far too long, gay fathers have been overlooked in conversations about family, leadership, and love. P.R.O.U.D. Inc. exists to change that. We don’t just talk about inclusion; we live it. We are reshaping what family looks like, how it’s supported, and who gets to stand in the light.

The Heart Behind the Mission

Our mission is simple: To empower gay fathers and families to lead lives anchored in authenticity, mental wellness, and love. Creating homes, schools, and communities where every child can grow without shame or fear.

P.R.O.U.D. Inc. isn’t just a nonprofit; it’s a movement toward wholeness. Every program, publication, and initiative is built around the core belief that courageous love is the foundation of generational healing.

What’s Next for P.R.O.U.D. Inc.

We’re stepping boldly into the next chapter, expanding our reach and impact through four major initiatives:

1. P.R.O.U.D. Academy

Our private K–12 homeschooling program empowers families to take education into their own hands. Through individualized learning plans, emotional wellness lessons, and cultural pride integration, students don’t just learn — they belong.

Goal: To create a full digital and physical academy model that supports parents nationwide.

2. Courageous Love Collective Magazine

This print and digital publication highlights stories, resources, and voices of fathers, allies, and families building legacies of love. Each issue blends storytelling with real tools for personal growth, education, and healing.

Goal: To amplify visibility and inspire global community conversations.

3. Retreats, Workshops & Summits

We’re curating safe spaces for fathers and families to connect, learn, and grow together. From healing retreats to business and leadership workshops, we believe transformation happens in community.

Goal: To host annual national gatherings by 2026 and expand into international retreats by 2027.

4. P.R.O.U.D. Grants & Family Resource Fund

We’re developing a resource fund to assist families navigating transition, mental health needs, and educational barriers.

Goal: To provide $50,000 in grants annually to LGBTQ+ parents and students by 2028.

Our Guiding Vision

We envision a world where courageous love is no longer an act of rebellion, but the standard of living. Where visibility isn’t survival; it’s celebration. Where every father, every child, every family can say, “We’re proud to be who we are.”

How You Can Join the Movement

Whether you’re a father, an ally, or simply someone who believes in the power of love and truth — there’s a place for you here. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Volunteer or partner with our upcoming workshops and events.

The Power of Community

Community is everything. It’s the heartbeat of P.R.O.U.D. Inc. Together, we can create spaces where love flourishes. We can foster connections that uplift and empower.

Imagine a world where every father feels seen. Where every child knows they are cherished. This is the world we are building.

Closing Words

P.R.O.U.D. Inc. is more than a name; it’s a declaration. A promise that love, in all its forms, deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated.

We’re not waiting for permission to build the world we deserve. We’re doing it, one courageous act at a time.
