Courageous Love
Healing the Story. Strengthening the Family. Building the Legacy. Courageous Love is the body of work created by Tyson Pete around one central idea: Love becomes courageous when it is willing to do the work. It is the parent examining the wound before reacting. The adult learning words for feelings that were once buried. The family creating traditions instead of simply repeating patterns. The person choosing boundaries without becoming bitter. The father admitting he does not have every answer. The child growing up with permission to communicate. The person who stops asking, “Why did this happen to me?” long enough to ask, “What will I build from it?”
That is Courageous Love.

IT BEGAN WITH FATHERHOOD
The first Courageous Love book was created to speak directly to gay fathers, an audience too often expected to navigate parenting resources in which their lives were missing, minimized or treated as an exception. Courageous Love: A Self-Help Guide for Gay Fathers helped establish the foundation. 21 But the questions it raised were larger than one demographic. How do families heal? How do parents stop passing down unresolved wounds? How do adults create emotional safety? How do people love without disappearing inside relationships? How do we honor where we came from while deciding what should change? Those questions became the collection.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2026
Twenty Years A Father
The remaining Courageous Love collection will be released on September 22, 2026 in celebration of Tyson Pete's twentieth anniversary of becoming a father. The date connects the work to the experience that inspired so much of it.

Courageous Love Is Not About Being Perfect.
It is about becoming responsible for what happens next. Heal what needs healing. Say what needs saying. Repair what can be repaired. Release what cannot. Build what your family deserves.
